While the threat of drought has receded we are still restricted to a maximum of 105 litres a day per person to cover all type of water usage – showers, toilets, washing, cleaning etc. At Koornhoop we make extensive use of grey water by reuse of washing water for mopping, cleaning windows and in toilets etc.

We are not able to water the gardens as we did in past years. We are only allowed to use a bucket for one hour a day, three days a week. This has had an understandable negative impact on the gardens that are now not at their best. Please bear with us as we move to using more water wise planting.
